Let’s get into all the incredible things about My Maison In Paris Invalides!
This hotel is located 10 miles from Orly Airport
Transportation: Local Airport Taxi Service from Paris Orly Airport, (ORY)
Arriving to the hotel- we arrived in Paris early in the morning, the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was about 20-25 min ride. We couldn’t check-in immediately, so we were able to drop our bags at the hotel and ate at a restaurant that was within walking distance. My Maison hotel is an apartment building, with that being said- there is no official lobby or check-in desk. Thankfully, the concierge was very welcoming and stayed in touch with us until the time of check-in which is 4p.m. After eating we visited the historic Musée de l'Armée aka Army Museum- one of the largest military museums in France.
Apartment Features: The entire apartment space was clean, comfortable, and spacious (especially for Paris where living spaces tend to be small). Our apartment included- 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms (1 full bath, 1 half bathroom). 1 living room/kitchen area combined with a pull-out bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave oven, dishware, and utensils.
This apartment building sits in the heart of Paris, about a 10–12-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Local grocery markets and a great variety of restaurants are within walking distance.
Restaurants:
· Marcelle (Breakfast- Location 159 Rue de Grenelle)
· LaTour Mauboury (Breakfast or Lunch)
Activities:
· Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris
· Parc Asterix (Amusement Park)
Paris France is known as one of the most incredible places in the world. Whether your interested in taking the entire family to Paris or making the visit a romantic getaway- this destination has so much to see and many activities to enjoy. Visit the iconic landmark- The Eiffel Tower and see the beautiful views of France by riding all the way to the top. On the first & second floors enjoy snacks, a quick lunch or delicious pizza right inside the tower. The Eiffel Tower also features two dine-in restaurants for a more intimate dining experience.
The Louvre Museum- one of the world’s largest art museums is an amazing sight to behold. Lay your eyes on the “Mona Lisa” portrait, as well as a variety of artwork- you can explore the museum on a self-guided tour.
A great way to see many landmarks and capture amazing pictures is to enjoy a ride on the Toot bus tour. The view from the open top deck makes the tour exciting and easy to capture extraordinary photos. For an amazing shopping experience and beautiful views, be sure to visit Champs Elysee. For a more local shopping mall experience visit Aeroville Mall Paris. Our family loves amusement parks, we visited Astrix Park, France’s second largest theme park. The variety of roller coasters, themed shows and park games was enjoyed by everyone. Our experience in Paris (both visits) have been wonderful, we definitely recommend checking this off your bucket-list.
