Hotel: The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm

Let’s get into all the amazing things about The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm. This hotel is located about 25 minutes away from the airport.

Transportation: We went with a local taxi driver from the airport but you can arrange transportation service with the hotel.

Arriving to the hotel, the check-in process was fast and smooth. We sat with concierge and was checked-in, in about 15-20 min. There was no wait time, our room was ready, we arrived about 11:00 p.m.

The Room: Family Room, Connecting Guest Room. These two connecting rooms were luxurious! Clean, and comfortable, floor to ceiling windows that faced the iconic man-made island, Palm Jumeirah. The bathroom was spacious and lush as well with a freestanding sitting bathtub, double sinks and a stand-up glass shower. The bathrooms include complimentary toiletries, including large-size body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. They also provide guests with slippers and plush robes.

We received an amazing welcome, with a bowl of fruit, complimentary tea, and hot chocolate for the kids when we arrived. Each morning and evening our rooms were cleaned and refreshed. After each room refresh, they left the complimentary slippers next to our bedside with chocolates and complimentary water bottles, amazing hospitality!!!

Hotel Features:

This hotel is extravagant! There is a café located in the main lobby which serves deserts and pastries, tea, coffee etc. Located on the third floor is the pool area and restaurants. The 24 hour room service menu included many delicious choices; we ordered breakfast and dinner twice during our stay.

The beach is not located on the premises, however- they do offer a complimentary shuttle ride to Kyma Beach which is exclusive to St. Regis guest. It is an adults only beach. We visited the beach at Atlantis instead during our waterpark visit.

An amazing feature of the hotel is the location- centrally located near many tourist attractions. It is also located in the same tower as Aura Skypool and The View. As you enter the lobby of the hotel, there is direct access to Nakheel Mall. This mall has over 300 shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets. I was blown away seeing a supermarket inside the mall! We enjoyed visiting the mall frequently for last minute shopping and eating.

Each day we enjoyed an outing, I booked all the tours ahead of our arrival to Dubai. A few of our activities, (the sky pool and the view at the palm) was within walking distance, (located in the same tower as our hotel). The other activities we took an Uber ride (The Uber vehicles in Dubai are immaculate). This fun filled Spring Break vacation was amazing, from the incredible service and hospitality at The St. Regis, to experiencing the culture of Dubai (we were there during Ramadan, a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer for Muslims).

If you ever thought about visiting Dubai, it’s worth it! There are numerous activities and adventures to partake in; it’s best to experience at least two outings/activities a day. Arriving to Dubai from the east cost will take about 12 to 13 hours on a non-stop flight (depending on your location). We flew from New York’s JFK international airport to Paris, France on Delta Airlines (6 hours), once we arrived in Paris, we had a short layover and flew from Paris to Dubai on Air France (7 hour flight).

We were fortunate to have met a kind individual by the name of Samir. When we arrived to Dubai, Samir asked if we needed a taxi and he took very good care of us during our arrival, as well as taking us to the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi which is about 50 minutes from Dubai. During our tour to the Grand Mosque, we wore (we had to wear) long sleeve shirt and pants and a head covering. We purchased the traditional garments during our Desert Safari Tour.

Another memorable moment was experiencing Aura Skypool, this incredible 360 degree infinity pool is the largest in the world! It’s recommended to book your timed entry ticket in advance. I booked ours about two weeks ahead and was fortunate to secure a first row lounge seat!!. We enjoyed sitting 200 meters in the air over looking the Dubai skyline and The Palm. The staff served us like royalty, we enjoyed breakfast and a massage right there in our lounge chairs above the water.

Vacationing in Dubai is unforgettable, It’s a great vacation destination for, couples trip and or family vacation. If you enjoy adventures, and site seeing attractions, look no further. Dubai did not disappoint!
